GR8T68 Update
4 Attachment(s)
It's been a while but my project (formerly known as Project Panther...It was going to be black) Camaro is finally getting paint. A quick recap... Wayne Due Subframe with C5 suspension and C6 brakes. Hot Rods to Hell rear suspension with narrowed Track 9 rear end and Strange Engineering Center Section, Detroit Speed mini tubs and this list goes on. Decided to go with the original Rallye Green for the retro look with all the good stuff underneath the skin. I just hope I can keep it from getting slammed into by some dickweed with a cellphone stuck in his ear. I cringed when I saw what happened to Bad Penny and have had nightmares ever since. I think I'd still be in jail if I was Steve.

Awesome car, what color is that? It's absolutely amazing. Can't wait to see the finished product.

Looks good! I like the color choice! They aren't waiting too long to clear it are they? Is the stripe going black or white?
Thanks for the update!! |
Cool. How did you/will you route your exhaust with the HRTH rear suspension?

Sorry for not posting an update. Work has been a little nuts lately with quite a bit of travel involved. I have posted a few pics that are not the best quality but will have to do. The clearcoat was applied over the Rally Green shortly after the black SS Hockey Stripe was applied and allowed to dry which was about a day and a half after paint. As far as the exhaust goes, I have actually been contemplating an early Corvette style side exhaust that would be painted high temp 80% gloss (not chrome). I'm not even close to 100% on this idea but will look at all options considering the limited options with the HRTH setup. Steve at HRTH talked to me and showed me one of his cars and the exhaust was routed beneath the cutouts on the crossbar with the mufflers further back and tucked up out of the way that looked like it will work but I'm still not sure at this point. As always, I am thankful for your opinions.
