G machine rear suspension.

I want to upgrade the rear suspension in my 67 camaro but I don't want to cut any of the original body up.
The current rear is out of a 69, I'm not worried about welding on it or even disposing it.

After I'm dead and just in case my son wants to put the car back to it's original condition, everything will be boxed up and waiting.

Should I just buy a new Moser or Strange setup?

thanks for the input.

Rich

Have you considered the Alston G-bar setup. It truly is a "bolt in" piece with the exception of welding the UCA tabs to the rear housing. You can however buy the Fab9 housing with pre-welded tabs and vwala, instint 4 link with coilovers.

It's going on my car as I type and it's very nice!

I guess it all depends on your budget.

I agree. the G bar is a great way to go. One little detail, Alston still does not have the Fab 9 bolts ins available yet. If you need a G Bar. let me know.

I looked on his website and didn't see anything named G bar.
Do you have a link?

CA does not have a listing on their site for Camaros but they do sell it, we have sold a bunch of them for Camaros. You can check out the Mustang stuff, or look at the Ridetech.com Air Bar which is A G Bar without the Air Springs. A g bar comes with the coil springs

Id much rather have the G-bar myself. Any pictures of it?

Pull out a recent Super Chevy or Popular Hot Rodding. It's always pictured in the Chris Alston ad.

Looks just like this:

Frank is correct,

The G Bar is the same as our (Air Ride Technologies) Air Bar, but Chris offers it with his VariShock coil overs instead of Shockwaves. The unit is completely bolt-in with only tabs being welded to the rear end to locate the upper bars. If one chooses to return the vehicle to stock in the future, you simply cut the tabs off the rear and fill the holes used to bolt-in the 4-link.

Please see the link below for an image of our AirBar for reference.

If anyone needs to look at the instructions, to see how it is installed, shoot me a PM I will e-mail you the data sheet/instructions for the Camaro G-Bar. There are some good pictures and a thorough explanation of how to do the installation.
