Radiator Hoses
I have been looking at options for a radiator hose, and I don't really like the stainless steel shrouds that go over the rubber hose, or the flexy-looking metal ones. Right now I am leaning towards just the rubber hose with some nice-looking hose clamps. Does anyone know of anything else that I can use for a radiator hose?
Thanks, Matt |
Mandrel bent aluminum or stainless tubing with silicon sleeves and t-bolt clamps...

I still think that these thermoplastic clamps from gates are a nice way to go.

Yes, we use the Gates clamps and they Kick a@@!
Very clean and VERY functional! For ease of removal, use one t-bolt clamp on the bottom hose on the engine, and then just take off the thermostat housing for radiator removal. We we got sold on the idea, they told us that army started to use these on tanks, and turned what used to be a leaky mess inside the hull, is now spotless. I'm definatly sold on them.. a much wider, more uniform clamping force! Ahh and to add, just don't heat them too much, just enough to change the colour of the writing and your set ;) |
