its ALWAYS cheaper to do it right the first time, so shelling out 1500 for a set of custom headers the first time out is cheaper than first buyinga set of shorties and ditching them because of poor performance, then a full length generic that you ditch because of low to no ground clearance and then finally 1500 for the right one....
