Are you going to smooth the firewall as well? He should have you make him some of those custom Tri-Y headers for that Big Block. Otherwise have fun with the 2" primary headers hanging under the car. If he wants a testament on how annoying that is feel free to contact me
some custom Tri-Y's would be $$$ but I think it would be worth it for the customer to have you build him some. When the project is done He'll probably be much happpier. I'd gladly spend $2K for someone to build me a custom set. In the long run it would be so much better not worrying about bottoming your headers out on every bump. Plus it would give you a chance to show off those awesome fabricating skills. Not sure if anyone's ready for that though
