Leave it in D
My 98 SS would actually run more consistent in D (in it's early mod-stages). I reprogrammed the shift points and wala'- a tenth better each time.
Steve- you're shrifter has me looking to adapt a 4L60E to my old Poncho. For now, I'm stuck with a (although not so bad) 200 4R. Oh well; all you 5-million aftermarket SBC and BBC (and now LSx) guys enjoy the fact that you have so many ready-to-go parts available!
