Quality draws me to an add. Those little 2"x2" black and white squares in the back of a magazine won't do it for me. I rarely ever look at them. Not to say that companies that advertise with those aren't good, the adds just dont get my attention. Simplicity is nice. A good layout that isn't cluttered is easier to pay attention to.
Like Mick said, i like catalogs. I always end up buying more parts from a catalog than i would online. If i am online i am generally searching for a specific part, b/c browsing a online store can take a while. Flipping through a catalog, I generally end up seeing something that I don’t necessarily need but wouldn’t hurt to have either. Having your catalog match your online store is also important to me. Keeping the part #s the same from the store to the catalog, as well as correct product info/pictures. After all that, it’s all about customer service and the salespersons knowledge of the products they sell.
