It had some TP 70 jet helicopter turbin in it and he would cruise that boat at a buck thirty five all day long like it was nothing.... I have never been in his bigger boat but I hear that will do the same but at around a 160mph...the guy is like 85 now and is the inventor of the surface prop and pool sweep.... very smart man

Howard is THE man. Glad he took you for a ride. Very cool. He is the one responsible for this type of stuff. His turbine Skater was the first. A 36 ft, the 40 ft, etc. Surface drives with turbines,etc. Here is a pic of two of his ASD-12 drives on the back of the boat from the above post.
