My customers have had good experiences with Grundy.
I ALWAYS advise them to get min. coverage before its dropped off to me. If its from scratch, start at $5k (as long as the car looks like a complete car). As work progresses, pictures are sent and an "agreed" value is obtained untill completion (usually takes 4 times in 10-15k increments).
Only once was a car initially turned down because the pics showed no headlights or windshield. After an explaination, they agreed to cover the min. $5,000.
Most Classic car insurance carriers understand the "restoration" or "build" proceedure.
