This raises a related question I have (and at the risk of hijacking the thread, I'll ask it). I have heard a number of people warning about staying away from foreign made crankshafts (those made in Taiwan, Korea, China, etc.) to the point of someone actually telling me they would rather have a stock 400 cast crank over a foreign 400 forged crank. Is this just a bias that we tend to have towards products made in the USA, and in reality foreign manufactered parts are fine? How do you know where the various crankshafts are made? Few of the websites tell you that kind of info. Other than calling and asking, how can you tell?

Thanx in advance.

Mike

Again, sorry for the slight hijack.
