there is a minimal amount of cutting required to fit our (Air Ride Technologies) Shockwave units into a first gen Camaro. GM rolled the lip of the subframe around the spring pocket, and that is what needs to be removed as we are using a 6.5-inch air spring that will rub the roll if left uncut. The material removed does not reduce the structural integrity of the subframe.
