I think no matter what way you mount them you will have to do some cutting, it might not be as bad one way or the other but usually when doing air you have to cut to keep the bag away from all objects. The other problem I can see you having is the bag might hit the sway bar if mounted upside down and that would be worse. Mock it up there both ways and go through all the suspension movments so you can see if it will clear everything. measure twice cut once it always works out better that way.
