I'm driving from Jacksonville, FL to Maine right after new years... I have to get my truck up to Maine some how, ya know?

Well- the wife & kids are coming (teens- the kids, that is). We want to stop by Washington DC, Philidelphia, NYC, Boston, etc briefly just to see the sites. They've never been there & I'm no expert, so any advice on what to see & HOW to get there, traffic reccomendations, stuff like that- is what I'm looking for.

So- let me hear 'em!
