2. Swap out. I have traded work for parts, or other work. I have a friend that owns a custom shop and from time to time he will push cars my way to install engines, hook up wires, etc. I can usually turn that into cash or other favors.
3. Odd jobs. You would be surprised how much cash you can pick up quick changing some brake pads, a clutch, fixing an a/c, installing a stereo, etc. for friends of your family, etc.

I put 2 and 3 together in my mind. I do stuff for free, if a friend needs help, i dont charge them anything but maybe a sandwich or soda. I dont think its right to make my friends or family pay for my help. I believe that all knowledge should be free.

4. Part time job. Lots of work out there. Maybe the local autoparts store could use another counter monkey part time on the weekends, plus you would get a discount on parts bought from the store.

I work 2 jobs and go to school full time, one of my jobs... is working at a parts store. i get $9.50/hr. my other job is doing psychotherapy, but i get paid so little that i cant even count it. my schedule is 6-7 days a week of getting up at 7:30 going to the parts store, then going to my clinic, and coming home around 10 pm just to fall asleep and do it all over again.

Tie this into some creative financing. If you know you will be able to gather $1,000 or so over the next month, go ahead and order some parts on your credit card, then dedicate yourself to paying them off ASAP. Having the parts sitting around will motivate you to get the cash to pay them off and you can reward yourself by installing them.

I dont own a credit card, never have.. i knew i'd get into trouble if i did. I pay for everything in cash, Scott knows that

I am sure you have talent and skill that can be applied to some extra green stuff.

I used to sell T-shirts on my website, but lately i havent had any good ideas!!
Thanks, i need it!
I'm thinking of starting my own private therapy sessions away from my regular clients i see. except i keep the $$ from this rather than the clinic getting it. $20/hr is dirt cheap compared to other therapy sessions... i'm checking into it right now.
