However, I suppose if you only hear sound bites on ESPN or your local sports cast you may hear a message that conveys something completely different. The only time I have ever heard a remotely negative comment uttered from a press conference or locker room interview was a comment defending accusations from teams they beat.
I mean, I'm not delusional enough to think I can convince people to love them, everyone should have pride in their own team but some of this stuff is pretty bold and unfounded.
I, for one, am not trying to take this thread too seriously, it's sports. Maybe it sounds that way but it's really not a big deal. It's not like someone saying Chevys are a POS....then the gloves come off!

Ben,
Belichick absolutely comes off as arrogant, cocky, etc. and that's what seems to keep the "hate" going. I think since they're your team that you view them differently, but coming from a fan of another team he is universally considered a jerk on every football board I'm on. Talented, yes, but like he's doing you a favor to even talk to you. Then when the whole spygate deal came up, and now with the senate probe and the ex-employee going to testify it just fuels the fire.
I'm sure a lot of the dislike comes from jealousy to a point, he and the team are very successful. But, in my opinion, he brings a lot of it on himself with the way he acts, talks, etc.
