Its easier to do than a 1st gen. The DSE tub kit makes it easier.

Im not sure about Rick but it took a 1" frame notch to clear a 335 on a 12" wide.
Backspace is around 8 3/8" with a stock rearend. You would have to narrow the rear housing to get anything less than that.
