Rob,

Pros for both is that they're interchangeable, so swapping isn't really that big of a deal so long as you have adequate caliper to wheel clearance for the C6 Z06 stuff.

Pros for the C6 Z06 include looks, caliper rigidity, and additional rotor thermal mass. The primary cons are cost (relative to the C5/C6 base level stuff) and weight. The OE pads and rotors were okay for street use, but not up to more aggressive applications. Luckily, the aftermarket stepped up and now offers a full range of rotors and pads better suited to severe-duty use. Minimum wheel diameter will be 18".

IMO, it's pretty tough to beat the bang-for-the-buck that the base level C5/C6 kits offer. If you plan to track the car or consume large amounts of rotors and pads, I would definitely go with the C5/C6 stuff, because you can't beat the price of consumables. If your car is primarily for street use, it's sporting at least 18's, and you love the look of a massive caliper/rotor (who doesn't?)...then the C6 Z06 stuff may be a better choice.
