Apogee -- The housing that I have is a small bearing unit and I have the Trac-Loc carrier with 350 gear. Since it's not being built as an ultimate racer, I'm planning on sticking with the 28 spline axles. I've still got a ton of $$$ to spend on it so the added cost of converting it to 31 spline is not in the budget.
To tell you the truth, I wasn't planning on new axles anyway. I was planning on using the stock axles and cutting the flange down and redrilling them for Chevy bolt pattern but one axle was bad. I toyed with the idea of buying another stock axle but they cost as much as the Moser custom. Unfortunately, like potato chips, you can't have just one
