well, you're just a bundle of good news.............. I narrowed it down to the drivers side by removing the pipes at the downpipes. The drain looks okay and downhill, but I disconnected it from the pan and had a bucket underneath and started the engine. No more smoke, drainage looks good out of the hose. So now it's either got a restriction/blockage at the pan, or it's not quite downhill at the pan.
