The powder coating is way more durable, the problem is the paint will last but when you intstall them its hard to do it with out scratching them, you can do either but for ease the powder coating is the way to go, you want the trim to match the car so it just disapears you dont want it to stand out and red would really stand out. Black will just fade with the windows for a cleaner look.
