Default 465 hp 383 SBC For Sale

I have a very nice 383 for sale. The engine, which was used for about 1,000 miles, is balanced and blue printed; 010/020 block, cleaned, magged, honed and zero decked; billet splayed four bolt main caps installed on three center main bearings and line bored; 4340 Eagle 3.75" forged crank; 4340 Eagle 6.0" forged "H" Beam rods; SRP –16cc forged dished pistons; Clevite 77H bearings throughout; Melling high volume oil pump with welded on pickup; Moroso trap door 7 qt. oil pan and windage tray; Crane 119841 hydraulic roller cam (0.539"/0.558", 296/304;112 LSA), double roller timing chain; Comp Cams Pro Magnum retrofit hydraulic roller lifters; Comp Cams pushrods; Comp Cams Pro Magnum 1.5 roller rockers; AFR 195 aluminum heads angle milled by AFR to 59cc chambers and assembled by AFR with + 0.100 valves and AFR 8032 hydraulic roller valve springs; Edelbrock Vic Jr. intake; Demon 750 Carb; Fluid Damper harmonic balancer; MSD billet distributor; aluminum timing gear cover and polished aluminum valve covers; professionally assembled by JMS Racing Engines in Monrovia, CA. Dyno'd at 465 hp at 5,700 rpm; 464 ft. lbs. of torque at 4,500 rpm.

This engine is ready for a turbo or supercharger with a swap of 72cc or so aluminum heads. The bottom end is more than stout enough and the -16cc pistons will get you into the right static CR range for the boost. As it sits, the engine is 10.3:1 static CR and about 7.5 DCR.

$4,500 OBO (which is a smoking deal - just add up the parts). I need this engine gone. Local pickup in Southern California. The engine is in Altadena, California. The headers are NOT included.
