I don't know if anything exactly like it has been done on a '67 before (I am sure that some one, some where probably has) but it is fairly common on road race cars. The principal behind the splitter is to decrease the volume of air moving under the car and reduce the turbulance (and increase the velocity) of the air that does move under the car. We will in all likelyhood have to do some testing to determine the ideal length but we have to get to that point. I am a little concerned about the bend to the second crossmember of the sub but without it the air would just hit the crossmember directly so I don't see how it could be a detriment. Like anything else though, testing will tell.
