Product Vs. Price
James:
I know pricing is a big deal, and this could spark a major discussion, but it's imperative that manufacturers and dealers find a way to wean people off buying a vehicle for "the deal." The bottom line is, you are going to be driving this vehicle for a long time; you don't drive the "price" every day back and forth on the highway...Price is no doubt a consideration, but it cannot be the sole deciding factor when purchasing a new vehicle...safety, features, comfort, and convenience are what should come first.
That's a problem going on right now...everyone's rushing to get a 4-cylinder car, but as soon as gas prices, drop, and they are already, people will want what they want instead of what they think will save them a few bucks, and in about a year, many will be hating their decision to buy an entry-model to save a few bucks on gas...
Any thoughts?
