I do not believe in running a storage facility, even though that is a side effect of this business. You can ask anyone of my customers, about there experience in my shop. We get work done. We have 14 months in Johns nova at about a 75% work schedule. We have 7 months in Brians 63 nova at about 90% and almost 2 months in Erics convertible at about the same 90%. We are doing another 66 with similar frame and drivetrain as Eric's and I hope to have it set on the ground with a tube chassis and all the floors in 9 weeks. If a shop has the right staff and good scheduling, they can really get some work done. Technology has really helped to speed things up in my shop, we water jet 98% of all brackets and parts which is cheaper then hand fabbing all the parts, just due to the cost of labor involved.
Example the front crossmembers on Erics Nova are all water jet, there are 4 of them and I do not know any body who could make that part in 8 hours. So 8 hours x 65 = 520. I can cut and design those same plates for about 120ish dollars a piece. Plus you get the parts in about 4 hours and you have now gained 4 days and all the parts are ultra precision and you can do way cooler stuff. Shoot look at the slots in that same frame, can you imagine how long that would take on the mill to machine those same slots. You get the idea.
Thanks for all the kind words Guys, I have some talented staff, that love what they do.
