Yeah I really should have said it's a no brainer
for me. That's what I meant. If someone has the time, money, and (most importantly for me) the patience to deal with a long term build, then go for it. Especially with some of the talented builders on this forum.
And no, you don't build these cars for investment purposes.
Finding that middle ground and buying someone else's completed or near-completed project can be a great way to go.
I am just bitter my car has taken so long and is still not done (can ya tell?)
