as said above, theres not much room btwn the flange and the shock mount. theres only so much they can go before they run out of room to reweld the flange.

on top of that, the c6z calipers are wide, so you need to make sure you have enough caliper to frame clearance.

i have the same brake package for my 70 velle and i am in the process of doing numerous modifications all started by the brakes. narrowed rear with 9" ends, all new brackets with parallel ucas, coilovers and a watts link...........
