Life can be quite frustrating, and when any shop or vendor does differently than we expect them to, it can be much more than simply "frustrating." Still, life hands us a lot of choices, and most of them boil down to this one; you must decide whether to use any difficulty in life as either an excuse, or a reason." You turn it into an excuse when you elect to allow a mishap to taint the lens through which you view life. Suddenly every problem is due to incompetence or malice. Life becomes a game where the odds have been stacked against you. You utilize a difficulty as a reason when you turn it into the impetus to excel beyond the original plan and prove to those who doubted that you are actually in control.
You have been handed a plate of sour grapes. I cannot comment as to whether or not the intentions of those who seemingly deceived you were malicious. A quote I often hear from my father-in-law does come to mind however, "never attribute to malice that which can be explained by simple stupidity." Nonetheless, the choice is now yours. Do you utilize your difficulties as an excuse to be bitter, mistrust the intentions of every shop, vendor, and fellow car enthusiast, or do you make it into the key event which spurs you and your project on to a finish far better than originally imagined?
Now that I am finished occupying my soapbox, I have only one question; How can we help?
