We chemical strip the bodies and sandblast all the rusty areas, along with the hard areas that cannot warp and are hard to sand prep like jams, inner doors, edges, window channel, wheel opening lips. The sand gives a killer etch and this makes for great adhesion in areas that want to peel.
As for your suspension. If you have a couple grand in your budget for rear suspension, look into one of the many 4 links we carry. On the front, weather you do uppers only or uppers and lowers, think about a conventional coil spring (like Hotchkis) and a good shock. Forget the coil over, especially if you want good ride. You need some spring up there, that little coneical spring on the coil over conversion just does not do it.
