FYI, based on my measurements of factory pieces, the 307 frame pads and engine mounts will lower the engine in the car by about 3/16" compared to the 350/all other engine mounts. I run the 307 stuff myself, mostly because my car was originally a 307 car and I didn't feel like swapping the mounts on the frame. Added bonus that it lowers the engine a bit!

I know it's an old thread....but the 302/350 is actually the best setup to get your engine low in the chassis. The 307/327 is slighly higher.
