There is more sidewall on a 19" 345 the a 18 inch 335.
As for not performing on 19s..............................

I should have made it clear that I was talking about the back of the car. To answer your question yes, I have seen empty nest. I also noticed it is an air bag car. When you put the car down at shows is that the ride height that it is going down the road? My point was to get the car down in the back with 19’s there is more that adjusting the coilovers on your four link and patting yourself on the back. I have seen, ridden in, and worked on cars with a 19 set up in the back with coilovers, guys put a four link in, minitub the car, and spin the adjusters down to get the ride height and are forced to go up a bit to have good travel. I know for a fact when you put the rim lip under the wheel well opening with 19’s there just isn’t that much suspension travel (coil over set up low ride height) The interference comes with the wheel well and the tire, shock travel, bla bla bla Frank you know what I mean. I also said that if you build the car set up around that size tire and wheel then cool. If the tire touches or something else interferes with travel going around a corner then you loose stability around a corner. You increase the chances of that with 19’s without a properly engineered first gen to accommodate that size tire. Most people don’t, so they don’t perform at the track. This has nothing to do with the ability of the tire itself.
