Currently you are setting the car up for an LSx motor/trans...that is smart! They are the present and future and are killer motors! BUT as you know it takes a few extra parts to do the LSx swap. Sounds like you are well on your way there! No way I would consider going back to a gen 1 sbc at this point!

Honestly if I didn't have to change soooo many parts (including trans) to go with an LSx I would have done it by now...but it's just too many expensive parts to change!

Stay LSx, the car will drive awesome and if you want to upgrade later to a newer version LSx w/ more inch and more power or TT's, you already have the car setup! And I have to believe that LSx motors in these cars helps resale anymore....
