I have used both for stuff in the garage that I don't need anymore.

Pictures and detailed info about the stuff helps a lot!

For large/heavy items that will cost a lot to ship, I tend to put those on Craigslist with local pick up only. If the item is large, but rare/hard to find then I will list it on ebay. Ebay has a bigger audience, but you need to pack it up, ship it and track it. Never ship an item on ebay without a tracking number!

About 2 months ago I sold an old used 327 SBC on craigslist for $350. The old guy paid me ALL in quarters lol! I looked pretty funny carrying a heavy arse coffee can filled with quarts into the bank.
