You do understand that is a pack mentality, right? I can brave your comments if you care to make them directly. Don't feel you need to hide behind popular opinion to express yourself. I know I don't.

You do what is best for you, if that means buying/paying for a car go for it. I know you would have a greater appreciation for the car if you built it yourself. I wasn't born with the skills I have today; I watched with my mouth shut, took advice, asked the questions to fill the gaps in my knowledge base and made my mistakes. I encourage you to do the same, buy the tools as you need them and make the project your own.
