Point taken. Well.... TX is a big 'ol state so I would gamble you don't have the monopoly on crappy roads . Some of our freakin speed-bumps do seem to follow that state slogan (everything's bigger in TX).

That being said, I know in stock configuration the lower portion of the frame rail is approx .500-.750" below the pinch weld of the rocker. Providing that all drivetrain related parts are above the bottom of the frame, dropping the cab beyond the frame rail now means that rocker is going to be the first thing to contact earth (man made or otherwise.....).
