That being said, I know in stock configuration the lower portion of the frame rail is approx .500-.750" below the pinch weld of the rocker. Providing that all drivetrain related parts are above the bottom of the frame, dropping the cab beyond the frame rail now means that rocker is going to be the first thing to contact earth (man made or otherwise.....).
ive been fooling around with my bed and front clip while waiting for my cab at the sandblaster. im realizing that my goal of 4in on the rockers maybe a little of a pipe dream with out bags. i have the front sitting at my initial height of 4in and i see what you mean ,4 in over a span of 12ft is asking for trouble, and im also seeing problems with the amount the hood clearance or lack there of. you know how it is theres how low you want it ,and how low you can drive it. im sure ill soon find that height,thats where the money for the coil overs starts to pay off. bill
