i used the box in the floor because when i install floor boards ill have a nice flat surface to plug weld to. i figure whats a little extra weight when when im sitting on it. im not as concerned about weight as much as i am rigidness. yes im using the trans but matching up that tail shaft has been a puzzle. no clue on the over all weight ,shes heavy ,when i boxed the frame w 1/8 steel i guess i threw the whole weight thing out the window. thanks bill
ps and for the tig welding,dont have one ,but id like to get one. guess im a little low tech.
