My choice would definetly be hydro. It is some times easier to setup and when your done pretty well worry free. They make kits for the 69 that are very simple to install. With the linkage you have to worry about flex,( in your case)making mounts, and adjustment. Check out Kieslers or classic five speed, they both have good setups for your car.
