I'm working on one right now, see project Fool's Gold in the projects section.

The limiting factor when getting low is the outer rear wheel wells. There is only about an inch give or take a 1/4 between it and the outside skin (qaurter panel). You can't move it enough for an appreciable difference considering the amount of work. In my opinion swelling or reworking the qaurter in this area will ruin the smooth lines of the car.

You can get lower than the DSE car or Dale jr. car but only with smaller section width tires and wheels. To get into the deeper part of the wheelwell and sit the car down further your wheel/tire combo would have to be about 2.5-3 inches inside of the wheel opening lip.

I experimented with how low I could take the LD 3-link when notching my frame rails. The suspension wasn't the limiting factor the outer wheelwells lock you into a certain stance while still retaining useable travel.
