MEFI-4B = "batch fire"
My complaint/WARNING is that the "4B" has only TWO injector drivers. (high impedance injectors ONLY)
This means BATCH FIRE, four injectors/four injectors, on an eight cylinder.
This requirement states that the fuel injector MUST be fired EACH time the piston rests at TDC.
This may work OK when small injector/lowHP engines are controlled.
When a large injector is fitted (45lbs+), the "minimum turn on time" of most all injectors being over 1ms,
that quantity of fuel is to great to run the engine without fouled plugs/washed out rings....
That is a lot of fuel, wasted.
Then the issue of the "injection instant" being correct at maximum valve lift/air flow being "forgotten" is just sad.
Sure the "4B's" cost is only $200.00, a bargin.
What is the cost of your engine, life time fuel consumption ?
