asking for advice is great, but what it really comes down to.... is you deciding what is right for you. obviously you have goals and plans for achieving them, and that is more that 99% of the rest of the population. i personally went the wrong way, which took a while to get back on track for my goals. long story...but basically i dropped out of college in order to join the marines, got booted out before i even got shipped out, couldnt get back into school, worked 47 different places trying to get the skills needed for what i wanted to do. now...10 years later (im 28 btw) i am doing what i want to do, i actually do make a decent living, but everything i makes goes to try and make more.... most of the time its a long uphill struggle until my "investments" are liquidated, then the cycle starts over again.

your goals will change, your "plan" will change as things in life change, i say jump on the opps that come your way, sometimes they will bite ya in the ass, but as long as you walk away with something positive...then overall its worthwhile.
