Yup... and it all depends on the knurl daimeter that you use.

Option one:

The standard ARP 1/2x20x3" that are used are a 0.6250" knurl... but there is no drill on the planet that you can easily use that will make the right interfearance fit... that they require. So... they will have to be machined.

Or find another knurl that will require less attention.


Option two:

You can use the 1/2x20x3" screw in studs. This will require a 29/64ths drill... but it is also more difficult... as there isnt very much room to get the actual stud pass the three bolt flange to screw the stud into the flange.


And an FYI...

The BCA bearing should only be used for a cruiser... as, it is the most affordable... it is also, the lowest quality of the bearings available. Be very wary and careful of components just because they are cheap. This is a component that you SHOULD NOT skimp out on. It can be the difference in you just replacing a wheel bearing... or... replacing a car from failure of a single component that was used beyond it useful limitations.
