I am not by any means defending this, however, what did they guy think he was buying for $15k? That should have been a big red flag. Coupes in this good of shape are about $20-30k and convertibles are even harder to find and thus more expensive. One in this 'good' of shape would have been 30-40k. They didn't list the car as an original 442, but that would have pushed this close to 100k. The guy got greedy, didn't perform due diligence and got smoked. An expensive lesson for sure. As for the car sellers, well, karma is a bitch.
Can you imagine the mess under that white paint?
