Well things are starting to move a bit, I pulled the trigger and ordered the LS7 and yes Steve it does have a clutch
. Also took advantage of Katech's sale during February and got the torquer cam/springs and retainers. Its been a learning experiance, since Im not really educated on the newer LS engines. But one that I really enjoyed. The engine came apart almost as soon as it hit my garage floor, Big thanks to Scott Gulbranson for answering my endless questions and helping me out in my times of panic. Speartech is putting together the electronics and Peterson is building the dry sump tank. Headers will probably be 2" Lemons unless I can find something in stainless that fits the DSE chassis well and doesn't cost me 3k. Not sure about an accessory drive system right now. Here's some pics of the motor just out of the crate and then going through the cam install, check out the size of the intake ports on the heads, there huge.
