the tall AFX spindle offers much improved bearings in the form of C5 bearing packs and late corvette brakes, so the 200 bucks more you will spend on a set of ATS spindles will be recovered times 2 or more when you buy brakes... corvette brakes from ex: touring classics are 800 ish and the same PBR style brakes from bear for the old style spindle will run you twice that amount....
besides its a lighter spindle and the geometry is spot on...
