All wheel drive vehicle's have a different transfer case made to handle highway speeds. A 4 wheel drive transfer case is made to handle up to about 45-50mph before it start's destory itself.
I would go with a 4x4 cause of the resale and it is nice to have it when you need it. If it was me I would look at a GMC I just like the styling better and the All Terrain package looks killer in black.
