There are a couple of things to think about with the C6 IRS. First how much of a back seat do you want? The forward sweep of the upper control arms tends to eat that up. Plus the transaxle will free up floorboard room for your feet but it will make it pretty skinny for the back seat guys. The lower you want to make the car the more it will eat up the interior obviously. I have heard of guys installing Mustang Cobra IRS centers in cars but they say the Half shafts cost a truck load of money. Trans axles with torque tubes are pretty inexpensive, but you will wind up doing alot more fab to get everything in. I would probabley do a C5 transaxle and narrow up the cradle. The C6 trans axle has outboard rear mounts and limit how much you can narrow the trackwidth. I have a complete C5 transaxle, torque tube and suspension I could make you a great deal on for this project.

If you have any more questions give me a call. Check out my website.
