I have the same truck (2007 GMC). I've noticed a slight knock when the engine is started but immediately goes away after about a second. I guess I better check the oil level in it when I get home. I have a 2008 silverado for a company truck that has the same knock in the mornings when I leave for work. I guess I better check that one too.
