Weed never made me go crazy or got me locked up. It sounds like you're kinda like I was. A highly functioning pot head. I work around the same number of hours as you and have my own business. I never hurt anyone, but I did like to smoke and drink, all the other stuf wasn't for me. I don't even take asparin or drink caffeine, but I loved the kush. I tried to quit a couple of times but there was no motivation to do so. All my friends were still smoking and I was still living the same lifestyle.

I then met my wife. She was totally different than my previous girlfriends and wasn't so accepting of my habit. I havn't looked back. I feel much more comfortable around my family and don't have to rush off in the middle of a family event because my friends were all partying without me. I still drink a little, but I don't crave the wacky tabacky like I thought I would. About 6 months ago I took a bong hit of the kill to see what affect it would have on me. It wasn't the same. I felt high, but I also felt guilty and uncomfortable around my wife, which I never want to feel again. I still have alot of the same friends that smoke, just that they respect who I am and realize the changes I've made.

It's not like pot is going to ruin your life like crack will, it will just keep you in the same place you've always been. Like treading water. I'm not trying to get back those 14 years of smoking, I'm just trying to be better than I was. I love spending time with my little neices and nephews, and it feels good that they can look up to me and I don't feel guilty about a damn thing. I guess you gotta change in your own way. I'm not a religious man so I can't tell you if that works or not, but I'll help you out any way I can. PM me if you want and I'll help you out on what helped me out.

You can do it. If you work 70 hours a week, you have the will to quit.
