Yeah I picked up a GoPro at SEMA and then we mounted them to the go carts that night at PolePosition
. Quality was OK but sounds was terrible. Gasket removal does seem like it would help. I was considering jeopardizing the waterproof case and drilling small holes in the case where the mic is. Figure if I ever need it to be near water resistent I'll just cover with tape. If you plan on submerging then that isn't good idea though :-).
