I feel the exact same way. I'm building it for myself so I don't care much of what others think. As long as it performs, I'll be happy. It'll also be nice to tell people I built it. My frame of thought is that you can read all the books you want on suspension design and theory, but you'll never really learn until you get your hands dirty. Worst case scenario I make a few modifications and try it again.

Thanks for the info on the rack. After thinking about it a little more last night, I figure I might as well give the steering arms a shot as well. It wouldn't be too difficult to build a jig to insure both arms are bent correctly and are the same length.
